CONFETTI (Work in Progress) by Will Jackson

Felix is uptight and unlucky in love. He's the 'mate of honour' for his best friend's wedding, and it's going to be the best day EVER… as long as there aren't any distractions…

A queer rom-com from Attitude Magazine's "Rising Comic Star" Will Jackson. From surprise hen night to wedding reception, Confetti follows event planner Felix, as he begins a tumultuous relationship whilst keeping it a secret from the bride.

Catch this work-in-progress show ahead of its Summer tour.

Confetti was initially commissioned as a 10 minute digital short for Attenborough Arts Centre in July 2021 before having a script in hand work-in-progress show at Assembly Venues as part of Coventry City of Culture. This work in progress performance at the Old Red Lion was made possible by funding from New Vic Theatre and Arts Council England and support from New Diorama Theatre's Broadgate Space.

Quick Duck Theatre is a Birmingham-based theatre company. Their work is ridiculous, openly queer, has a lot of heart & always has a killer soundtrack. They have recently been appointed as one of the New Vic Theatre's Associate Companies and were one of New Diorama Theatre's Emerging Theatre companies (2019) and Birmingham REP Foundry Alumni. They have toured work to critical acclaim across pubs, night clubs and high profile studio theatres & festivals across the UK. Including Fierce Festival, Edinburgh Fringe, Paines Plough Roundabout Theatre, Coventry City of Culture & China Plate's First Bite festival. Their first show, 'Magic Hour: The Murder Mystery Disco!', won awards for Best Ensemble & Singularity of Vision at the National Student Drama Festival. Their second show 'Yours Sincerely' has toured over 70 performances across the UK to critical acclaim. 'Fashion Spies' originally debuted at Assembly Venues Coventry as part of the City of Culture celebrations.
