Beth and Zac are in love, whatever their interpretation of love is. 

Their relationship is put to the test when Beth’s outgoing sister, Kelly, comes to stay for Christmas.

Kelly lives in Barcelona with their mother and mother’s partner John.

Across the evening Beth tries to get to the root of all of her insecurities, desperate to know why Kelly has never spoken about the birth father she barely remembers. But more than anything, Beth longs to know who she really is beyond a helpless people pleaser. Memory has become the sisters' present reality and they must detach from the past to see each other in a more honest light.

This vibrant and incisive comedy drama about Gen Z-ers offers a nuanced portrayal of a family trying to navigate its way out of decades of painful patterns. 

Love Conditions oscillates between a range of themes: mother-daughter, sister relationships, alcohol abuse, divorce, love and attachment behaviours. Ela Moss's debut play was awarded the Methuen Drama Prize for Best Text for Performance.
