love conditions
It’s Christmas Eve.
Beth and Zac's relationship is put to the test when Beth’s older sister Kelly comes to stay.
With their mother unraveling and a drink dependent stepfather, decades of buried pain begin to surface. Loyalties fracture, ugly truths spill, and the siblings must confront the damage done by absent fathers, broken mothers, and the helpless responsibility of loving someone who’s falling apart.
Alcohol numbs the edges, but nothing stops the inevitable. Some families survive not because they are strong, but because they refuse to look away
Love Conditions is a brutal, claustrophobic comedy drama about inherited wounds, emotional dependence, and what happens when the people who shaped you begin to sink, and you go down with them.
Ela Moss's debut play was awarded the Methuen Drama Prize for Best Text for Performance and was Long Listed for the Verity Badgate Award.
