Werewolf Banner

werewolf sighted in port talbot

"I need you to promise me. No matter what you hear, no matter where I am, no matter what you think is happening to me. Do not leave that tent. I’m so f*cking serious Billy. You cannot leave the tent.”

“But you have said you can control it? Sometimes. You wouldn’t harm me if I was standing in front of you, would you?”

Billy and Ffion are on their first camping trip together as a couple. Billy is a secondary school teacher, who is prepped and ready but nervous about how they will kill time, which constellations he’ll be able to see and how he will do his business in the wild.

Ffion works in marketing, is a keen camper and will turn into a werewolf as the full moon rises in the night sky.

In a lovely spot in the Welsh countryside, equipped with a pop-up tent, snacks and Bananagrams, Fi begins to feel her body literally tearing itself inside and out, and as the moon rises the couple are tested both physically and emotionally.

Before this night, Fi has never transformed in front of anyone not also part of her group of fellow werewolves in Port Talbot. Can she trust Billy? Will she be able to say the “L” bomb back to him? And what happened to the young woman who disappeared from Port Talbot during the last full moon?

Exploring themes of co-dependency in relationships, abuse of power and addiction, Werewolf Sighted in Port Talbot is the twisted darkly comic debut play by Andy Sellers.
