the (much shorter) comedy of errors
If all the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players, putting on one of the Bard's plays should be a doddle, right? That’s what everyone says about Shakespeare after all.
The Penge West Queer (+ allies!) over 30's (in spirit) Baking and Crafts Club love reading a bit of Shakespeare over a crochet project and have decided to give this whole putting on a play thing a go.
What they lack in experience they make up for in enthusiasm as they tread the boards and bring one of Shakespeare’s silliest comedies to life. Mishaps and mayhem are sure to ensue, and you’re invited to have a front row seat to it all!
See the Comedy of Errors brought to life with plenty of farce (and a whole lot of handmade props). Whether you’re a Shakespeare aficionado or a family looking for a helping of the Bard a bit more lively than your kids normal English lesson experience this show will leave you laughing and questioning what can’t be crotched into a prop?
With The (much shorter) Comedy of Errors, Shakespeare just got a whole lot sillier (and a whole lot shorter).
The Prattling Fools return to the Old Red Lion after a successful debut at the Camden Fringe Festival this summer. They are a collab of performers and creators who are taking back control over their experiences as creatives in the industry with a passion for making Shakespeare as accessible and fun as it should be.
