The Madwoman of camden
Tonight, capitalism meets its nemesis: The Madwoman of Camden.
In London's most exclusive member's club, elites conspire to sacrifice the city for profit. However, they are overheard by Aurelia, the flamboyant “madwoman” of Camden, who gathers a coalition of outcasts to put the conspirators, and the entire edifice of modern capitalism, on trial. What begins as an eccentric mock-court spirals into an absurd, surrealist act of resistance against Big Tech, ecological destruction, financial predation, and cultural hollowing.
The Madwoman of Camden reimagines Giraudoux's fable 'La Folle De Chaillot' for a world where authenticity is commodified, resistance is branded, and madness might be the last refuge of truth. The trailblazing new comedy from prodigious playwright Joel Stern and emerging director Lyna Dubarry, featuring a cast of nine heavy-hitting talents.
