THE GOOD TIMES

A NEW PLAY BY TOM LODGE

ba bum ba bum

as I’m eating my toast

ba bum ba bum

on the bus to school

ba bum ba bum as I’m in my room

ba bum ba bum ba bum ba bum

all the time, I’d be sat there

thinking about death

Did you hear the one about the stand-up going to jail? The one where she loses her job and her friends don’t text her anymore? It’s a good one, promise.

The Good Times is a new play about the limits of forgiveness by Tom Lodge. Unnerving and humorous, it examines celebrity culture and the duties of power as it jumps between group therapy, faded conversations and surreal chorus musings. Supported by The Young Vic as part of The Young Director's Program, and Sheffield Theatre’s Making Room Summer Residencies
