Not everything holy is good.

When the Hitchcock family arrive in a small Maine town in late 1965, they bring with them an image of faith, order, and tradition. Led by the charming and authoritative Stanley Hitchcock, they settle quickly into the rhythms of church life and community, offering polished smiles, pressed clothes, and rehearsed answers.

But behind the scripture, something festers.

The walls of the Hitchcock home are thick with silence. The children are careful. The routines are rigid. And something — though no one says it aloud — is deeply, terribly wrong.

In His Name is a psychological horror that invites the audience to look closer at the things we’re taught not to question: family, faith, and the authority of men. As dark secrets rise to the surface, the illusion of perfection begins to fracture — revealing a story of power, protection, and the quiet horrors that thrive in silence. Tense, haunting, and emotionally unflinching, this original play with music exposes what happens when a family’s devotion becomes their prison, and what it truly costs to break free.

A bold and urgent piece of theatre that lingers long after the final scene — for those willing to look where others turn away.
