Where one house once stood, there now stands eight. A whole new neighbourhood, secured behind a gate.
Behind the gates of Orchard Mews the term 'housing crisis' takes on a much more sinister meaning for its residents and their visitors. Whether it be the consequence of over protective parenting, a fiendishly high-tech home, or things that go 'burp' in the night, the residents of this new housing development are far from feeling as safe as houses. Presented in portmanteau style, Handheld Arts will buzz you in and show you around eight twisted cautionary tales filled with fun, filmic shadow puppetry and amusing verse.
This is a Homes Under the Hammer Horror show inspired by Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected, J. G. Ballard's Running Wild and with playful nods towards classic films including The Wicker Man, The Exorcist, and Rear Window.
